5 Reason To Have Macro Lenses

Many of you might be hesitate to buy macro prime lens. The first question might be: is it necessary to buy new lens for the special purposes such macro photo? is it enough to zooming the lens to the object through telephoto lens? Then allow me to answer that question: if you want to enjoy the small world, you should use the special lens. Standard lens can't compete in magnifying and short distance focus. So, i will try to give you the 5 reason to have macro lenses
     1. Magnifying ratio 1:1
Magnification scale is crucial to determine how big the object in the camera sensor. All of macro lens are having magnification scale 1:1. This means that an object could be photographed with the actual size. If we compare with the standard lens only have 1:5 magnification scale. This means object in the frame will appear smaller than the original size. You couldn't photographing an object too close, because there is minimum focus range in standard lens.
    2. Minimum focus distance
The minimum focusing distance in macro photos also play an important role. This role could determine how close the photographer could photograph the picture. In standard zoom lens, minimum distance usually at a distance of half meter or more. If you are photographing closer than its minimum focus distance, the lens won't be able to focusing the object.
With macro lens, minimum focus distance can be cut to the very close distance, due to the fixed focal length in this lens. For example, Sigma EX 28mm / 50mm DG Macro, you could taking photograph closer to 19cm distance.
   3. AF limiter
Some of macro lens offering the feature to choose limiter of the minimal focus distance to gain auto focus speed. Canon EF 2.8 /100mm have an option to choose AF limiter between 30-50cm distance, so the lens focus only working inside the limiter and don't have to focus scanning to the whole focal length.
   4. Aperture
Narrow focus range is the characteristic of macro photo. Aperture should be open wide and macro lens usually have great aperture such as 2 or 2.8
   5. High resolution
Almost all macro lens are having great resolution and highest lens quality. This could be a great help for photographer, especially macro mania, when photographing flower, a bugs, or other structure with great detail.

Very Close : a bugs is the most classical object

Classical motive : even the blooming flower is the most popular classical motive, quite important for you to determine an accurate focus, so you could get optimal result and full detail display of the blooming flower
